I grew up involved in sports. I started playing Soccer at the age of 3 and began playing in the select league by 8 years old. Throughout the years I tried other sports such as gymnastics, tennis, softball, golf, and track but soccer always remained my number one sport. I played until I was a freshman in college. I started lifting weights at the age of 13 and have continued to do so through adulthood. I would say my soccer career was short-lived due to serious back-to-back injuries. After breaking my tibia in half and tearing my ACL twice within three years it led me to hang my cleats up. I loved the sport but I wanted to be able to remain active and healthy without constantly getting set-back and being partially immobile from injury. Unfortunately, to this day I still have knee problems that started from my initial injury. I am up to 5 procedures on the same knee and have one more on the way, but I have learned how to properly rehabilitate it and remain functional on a day-to-day basis.
My turning point in my life would be the day I decided to hang up my cleats. It was one of the hardest things I chose to do, given the fact I wanted to play all throughout adulthood. Despite the sadness that came with walking away from the sport, it led me to where I am today. It helped me find my true passion for caring for other people's health and wellness. After leaving the sport I remained active inside and outside the gym. I then got a position as a members experiences associate at the gym which led me to become a group fitness coach.
My purpose for coaching others is to help people live a balanced happy and healthy life. There is a huge need for influential coaches in the industry. I am here to help educate, inspire, and support other people to reach their full potential mentally and physically. I love to help others break through their setbacks and find their purpose. There is no better feeling than watching other people excel at their goals.
